Become a Kidney Donor

Living organ donation can be a life-saving option for many patients who need a kidney or liver. As a live organ donor, you help someone get a new organ faster—often before they get seriously sick.

The Emory Transplant Center is one of the leading transplant centers in the Southeast. Our experienced surgeons have completed over 10,000 transplants, including kidney transplants and liver transplants. Here is what you need to know about being a living kidney or living liver donor.

If you would like to become a living kidney donor, the first step in the process is to register as a potential kidney donor. If you have submitted your lab tests and do not hear from the Emory Transplant Living Donor team within 2 weeks, please call us at 855-366-7989 or email livingdonor@emoryhealthcare.org
